My mother, Linda Mayhan-White, is the inspiration for this organization. She is a two time Breast Cancer Survivor. As a young girl, I watched her endure treatment in her quest to defeat cancer. As a young woman, I witnessed her share her story. Today, her experience has allowed her be a testimony and motivation to others.
November 2014, marked the birth of this vision. My Mission is simple. I envision a platform where diagnosis and treatment are not taboo. While diagnosis and treatment can be scary, it does not have to be. When we tell our story, others are helped and bonds are strengthened. No one has to face their diagnosis alone. I desire to connect survivors and those receiving treatment to motivate them to keep going. We are on a MISSION to increase awareness and inspire a self awakening with the hope of helping the next person and building strong communities.
This is the hope from which, “EVERY RIBBON TELLS A STORY” was born. Yes, it’s personal for me. I vow, this organization shall not only focus on the “pink” ribbon (Breast Cancer), in fact, we are seeking to reach EVERY ribbon. Thank you.
